E-Scooter Awareness |
Did you know? Privately owned e-scooters are illegal to ride on roads, pavements and other public places. They can only be used on private land with the landowner's permission. Riders risk having their scooter seized.
We're also seeing children riding e-scooters and, in some cases, adults carrying young children as passengers. Most e-scooters are designed for one person only. Carrying a passenger affects balance, steering and braking, making it much more likely that the rider will lose control and fall. A collision or fall from an e-scooter can result in serious injuries, particularly for children who have very little protection if an incident occurs. ✅ Stay safe: • Do not ride privately owned e-scooters in public places.
